An artificial intelligence (AI)-powered homeownership platform co-founded by Martha Stewart<\/a> launched in the United States Wednesday (July 29).<\/p>\n

Hint<\/a>, whose co-founders also include\u00a0Yih-Han Ma<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kyle Rush<\/a>, is now available on\u00a0Apple<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0App Store<\/a>, the company said\u00a0in\u00a0a Wednesday (July 29)\u00a0press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The home intelligence platform builds a profile of the user\u2019s house based on public records, environmental and utility data, and homeowner-provided documents such as inspections, warranties and utility data, the release said.<\/p>\n

Hint then works behind the scenes to monitor the home\u2019s needs, surface items that require attention and suggest the best course of action, per the release.<\/p>\n

The platform provides a centralized space for documents and details tied to the house, offers tailored guidance for things like seasonal upkeep and renovations, delivers alerts about things like expiring warranties and upcoming rate changes, and supplies direct connections to service providers, the release said.<\/p>\n

Hint is available for free and will later add a subscription offering that will include premium features, per the release.<\/p>\n

Stewart said in the release that a home requires \u201cattention and good judgment\u201d and that Hint helps homeowners \u201cbecome better stewards of their property.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ma said in the release that homeownership has been\u00a0largely overlooked\u00a0by the software industry and that Hint aims to help people \u201coffload the stress and complexity of maintaining a home so they can focus on enjoying it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rush said in the release that Hint was built to be \u201can owner\u2019s manual for homeownership\u201d and that the guidance provided by the app improves with every uploaded document,\u00a0interaction\u00a0and new piece of information.<\/p>\n

PYMNTS reported in May that Hint raised $10 million in seed funding and that the startup pitched that the more valuable position is not connecting\u00a0homeowners<\/a> to contractors after something breaks, but getting to them before they ever need to search.<\/p>\n

Stewart told Fortune at the time that she had wanted to build something like Hint for years and that the technology now makes this possible. She added that she contributed to the app\u2019s visual language and that Hint pulls information directly from guides she wrote.<\/p>\n
