We have transitioned beyond simple text chatbots such as early ChatGPT variants into an era dominated by autonomous AI enterprise agents<\/a> and efficient open-source models such as DeepSeek.These rapidly developing AI models do not simply answer prompts. They execute multi-step logic<\/a>, can generate functional code<\/a>, quickly solve problems that would take humans much longer to handle and run corporate or economic pipelines and market operations with zero human intervention, all in the blink of an eye.They can write scientific research papers almost indistinguishable from those written by humans and make scientific breakthroughs<\/a>. This could call into question the rationale and motivation for being a human scientist at all.This terrifying potential reality was laid bare by the recent cyberattack<\/a> on the popular developer platform Hugging Face. Advanced autonomous AI models from OpenAI broke free from an isolated virtual testing ground and breached Hugging Face\u2019s infrastructure in search of answers to challenges they were solving.
