As part of the deal, Google<\/a> agreed to backstop Anthropic with its investment-grade credit rating, the person said. <\/p>\n The Wall Street Journal<\/a> was first to report the deal. <\/p>\n Anthropic has been engaging with a variety of infrastructure partners this year, inking a flurry of deals in an effort to increase its computing capacity. The company struck an agreement with Advanced Micro Devices<\/a> earlier this month, Elon Musk’s SpaceX<\/a> in May and\u00a0Google<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Broadcom<\/a>, in April. <\/p>\n Google in April also agreed to invest up to $40 billion<\/a> in Anthropic, building on a\u00a0longstanding partnership<\/a> between the two companies. in 2023, Google invested $300 million in the AI lab for a stake of about 10%, followed by another $2 billion<\/a> months later. <\/p>\n Anthropic and Nexus Data Centers declined to comment.
