In Brussels, on July 31, senior officials of the European Commission stated that AI developers should have tools to monitor their systems for safety, after hacking incidents related to OpenAI and Anthropic AI models.<\/p>\n
The remarks came two days before the EU\u2019s AI Act rules with transparency requirements would come into effect \u2013 the first regulatory step in the world to regulate a technology used in nearly all sectors of business and society.<\/p>\n

Anthropic said some Claude AI models breached the systems of three companies during cybersecurity tests, a few days after competitor OpenAI reported an autonomous attack by one of its AI agents.<\/p>\n
