The motion calls for depositions of Chang Liu and Tang Yew Tan \u2014 both named defendants who left Apple for OpenAI \u2014 as well as OpenAI&#8217;s Yu-Ting Peng and a second, unidentified OpenAI staffer who formerly worked at Apple. OpenAI accepted three of the five conditions \u2014 committing to halt future access, cease any ongoing use, and retain relevant evidence \u2014 but drew the line at two others: permitting Apple&#8217;s lawyers and outside forensic experts to examine OpenAI&#8217;s devices, storage drives, and accounts, and allowing searches of OpenAI network locations where Apple data may have resided.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">OpenAI pushed back against the injunction request in a <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/apple-is-getting-this-wrong\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:blog%20post;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;source:content-canvas%20default\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;blog post&quot;,&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yTrafficOrigin&quot;:&quot;content-canvas default&quot;}\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">blog post<\/a> published Tuesday. &#8220;Apple&#8217;s request for a preliminary injunction is both based on false information and completely unnecessary because we do not have, nor want, any of their trade secrets,&#8221; the company wrote.
