OpenAI has announced big changes for users of its free ChatGPT and low-cost Go plans<\/a>: starting next week, the limit on text chats will be lifted, The Verge reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Currently, free access to ChatGPT starts to work with restrictions after a large number of chats, but starting next week, these will be removed. Important: the lifting of limits will only affect text requests, while messages with attachments, including files and images, will continue to work as usual.<\/p>\n

In addition, the update includes a new standard model for the free mode \u2013 GPT-5.6 Luna<\/a>, as well as the appearance of a “Think” button, which will allow you to access the model’s “deeper thinking” during complex queries.<\/p>\n

For Plus and Pro subscribers, OpenAI is updating the GPT-5.6 Sol<\/a> model in ChatGPT, making it “more robust in dealing with facts,” and adding a slider that will allow you to determine how much “thought” the model should put into a response.<\/p>\n

“The new GPT-5.6 Sol is designed to make fewer mistakes \u2013 especially when answers depend on dates, numbers, sources, rules, or assumptions\u00a0\u2013 by better utilizing the sources it finds to answer your questions,” OpenAI said.<\/p>\n

Both updates for Plus and Pro should be available starting August 7th.<\/p>\n
