Investing.com — Anthropic PBC announced Monday a partnership with Macquarie Asset Management and Singapore’s GIC to develop data centers for its Claude artificial intelligence platform. <\/p>\n
The companies will establish Theseus Infrastructure as a vehicle to develop AI computing facilities initially focused on the United States. Macquarie and GIC will provide most of the equity funding for each project, while Anthropic agreed to cover any increases in consumer electricity prices resulting from the facilities. <\/p>\n
The companies did not disclose planned spending amounts or project sizes. <\/p>\n
In 2025, Anthropic said it would spend $50 billion on custom data centers in several US locations, including Texas and New York. The company, which is preparing for a public listing, recently secured a $35 billion loan to lease computer chips at five data centers with support from Google. <\/p>\n
The announcement follows similar moves by other AI companies to secure infrastructure funding. OpenAI previously launched its Stargate infrastructure joint venture. <\/p>\n
