The sensor is built on the company\u2019s FreeStyle Libre CGM technology platform for monitoring diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration with Google \u2014\u00a0which is part of Alphabet (Nasdaq: GOOG) \u2014 is meant to create an easy-to-use, AI-powered experience to bring metabolic health insights into people\u2019s daily routines. Using the Google Health app (which can also collect data from Fitbit watches and other health trackers), Lingo users will be able to view glucose trends alongside other health and wellness metrics. Google\u2019s AI-enabled Health Coach will use these insights to deliver personalized, contextual recommendations designed to help users build sustainable habits related to nutrition, activity, sleep and recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The Abbott-Google partnership will focus on three areas:<\/p>\n<p>Integrating ongoing glucose insights from the Lingo continuous glucose monitor (CGM) into Google Health to help users understand their body\u2019s response to daily habits and make better lifestyle and nutrition choices in the moment.<br \/>\nCombining glucose insights with Google Health Coach to provide tailored recommendations that help people build healthier habits.<br \/>\nConducting one of the largest real-world metabolic health studies to date, integrating continuous glucose, wearable, laboratory, and survey data to uncover connections between activity, sleep, wellbeing, and metabolic health, informing more personalized guidance that supports healthier day-to-day decisions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe biggest challenge in healthcare isn\u2019t treating disease \u2014 it\u2019s helping people stay healthier longer,\u201d Olivier Ropars, divisional VP of Abbott\u2019s Lingo business, said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbbott\u2019s leadership in biowearables and Google\u2019s expertise in AI and consumer technology create a powerful opportunity to make personalized insights available at unprecedented scale.
