A former lead writer at Saber Interactive has revealed that they were replaced with ChatGPT in the middle of Rideshare Stimulator\u2019s development. <\/p>\n
Last month, Saber Interactive announced a new game where players will take on the role of a driver for a rideshare company like Uber or Lyft. Since then, it has also been confirmed that the announcement trailer contains a dig at Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford<\/a>. Now, details about alleged use of AI have been spotted. <\/p>\n Former Rideshare Stimulator Claims All Passenger Voices Were Also AI At One Point<\/p>\n A new BlueSky<\/a> post by former lead writer at Saber, Stella Sacco, reveals that she was sacked for ChatGPT during the development of Rideshare Stimulator. Sacco had posted in 2023 that they were replaced with ChatGPT in one of their games at work; they have now revealed that this title was none other than Rideshare Stimulator. Stella also added that, at one point, the studio had AI voices for all passengers, which may have changed during development or the studio hasn\u2019t disclosed it to Steam. <\/p>\n Sacco added in another post that her boss tried to argue her case stating that Stella Sacco had experience in live games and was good at her work so there was no need of AI. But the senior insisted that \u201cgamers love new tech,\u201d so using AI would be \u201cgreat marketing.\u201d <\/p>\n About Rideshare Stimulator <\/p>\n In the upcoming title, players will be part of an immersive driving simulation game where they will work toward expanding their rideshare business, have conversations with customers with varying personalities, maneuver through dynamic real-world traffic and become a part of the traffic system, maintain their vehicle, and more. <\/p>\n What are your thoughts on Saber replacing Rideshare Stimulator\u2019s lead writer with AI?
