The wife of a Silicon Valley AI billionaire<\/a> reportedly attempted to raise money from Jeffrey Epstein for a porn company aimed at women, according to documents released in the Epstein files.<\/p>\n

Cami Clark, the wife of Dario Amodei, the chief executive of Anthropic, appeared to approach the disgraced financier<\/a> seeking investment in Eddice, which described itself as a “free luxury porn company”.<\/p>\n

Ms Clark has been married to Mr Amodei, who leads the company behind the AI bot Claude, for four years, yet almost all details about her have been removed from the internet.<\/p>\n

However, emails that appear to be from Ms Clark were disclosed in the Epstein files.<\/p>\n

According to the documents released by the US Department of Justice, Ms Clark emailed Epstein asking to meet him for dinner after being introduced by John Brockman, the literary agent, in March 2011.<\/p>\n

The following week, she sent him a PDF attachment accompanied by the message: “We thought you and the ladies might enjoy the script\/treatment for our first four films, American Girl in Paris. A little nsfw [not safe for work].”<\/p>\n

Eddice, which was named after Ms Clark’s grandmother and used the tagline “intellectually promiscuous”, featured a blog that gathered content with titles such as “Lady Porn Day” and “Orgasm, Inc”. It was later shut down.<\/p>\n

A year later, Ms Clark was in contact with Epstein<\/a> again, who initially did not remember her, disclosures in the Epstein files suggest.<\/p>\n

She asked him about investing in her company, which she said had just hired someone from Oprah Winfrey’s network and another from Ashton Kutcher’s production company.<\/p>\n

Ms Clark said: “Are you still interested? We might be raising another round.”<\/p>\n

Epstein, who had been convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008, responded: “Can’t do tv sex.”<\/p>\n

Ms Clark instead pitched him a “social dieting app” aimed at women. The app would merge readings from gadgets such as Fitbits with user data on nutrition, mood and menstrual cycles that would be shared on a Facebook-style app.<\/p>\n

The pair appear to have exchanged emails for two years.<\/p>\n

The alleged links between Ms Clark and Epstein, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, shed new light on a private figure who plays a key role in shaping one of the world’s biggest AI giants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ms Clark and Mr Amodei have been married since 2022, but references to her have been largely scrubbed from the internet.<\/p>\n

Asked who Mr Amodei’s wife is, Anthropic’s own AI chatbot, Claude, initially responded by naming his sister, Daniela Amodei, before correcting itself saying: “I don’t have reliable information confirming who Dario Amodei’s wife is (if he has one).”<\/p>\n

While Ms Clark does not work at Anthropic, which is valued at nearly $1tn<\/a> (\u00a3740bn), she acts as an advisor to Mr Amodei and often attends events with him.<\/p>\n

She also introduced him to Eric Schmidt, the former Google boss, who she previously dated, according to the reports. He later became a key early investor in Anthropic.<\/p>\n

The disclosures come as Anthropic gears up for an initial public offering that could value it at a record-breaking $2tn.<\/p>\n

If it reaches this target, it will eclipse the recent debut of Elon Musk’s SpaceX and land a major payday for Mr Amodei.<\/p>\n

Anthropic did not respond to multiple requests for comment.<\/p>\n
