Even lesser-known startups and financial firms have raised billions as investors desperately try to cash in on the craze. <\/p>\n<p>More than 80 such AI billionaires exist on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/phoebeliu\/2026\/03\/10\/meet-the-45-ai-newcomers-to-forbes-2026-billionaires-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Forbes\u2019 annual ranking<\/a> of the world\u2019s wealthiest people exist, worth a collective $2.9 trillion. And 45 of them joined in just the past year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTony\u201d Yuhuai Wu, a co-founder of Elon Musk\u2019s artificial intelligence company xAI, has been linked to the $70 million, 12-acre property in San Mateo County. Josh Edelson for CA Post<\/p>\n<p>The list includes well-known execs like Anthropic\u2019s brother-and-sister management team <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/06\/business\/anthropic-backers-fret-over-ai-giants-volatile-ceo-dario-amodei-as-billions-hang-in-the-balance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dario and Daniela Amodei <\/a>and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman \u2014 along with a smattering of more obscure scientists, founders and investors getting filthy rich.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing a lot of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have access to a significant amount of liquidity,\u201d said Alexander Fromm Lurie, a San Francisco realtor at City Real Estate who works with tech buyers. \u201cThe demographic has gotten younger because of how fast the valuations have grown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Below, meet the new crop of young tech billionaires making their mark on Silicon Valley. <\/p>\n<p>Lucy Guo splits her time between Los Angeles, where she purchased a $30 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills, and Miami. The business later pivoted to data labeling, similar to ScaleAI\u2019s work, and revenues soared.<\/p>\n<p>A $350 million funding round that valued Mercor at $10 billion meant each of them became worth approximately $2.2 billion, according to Forbes. <\/p>\n<p>The three young adults have not reported any lavish spending or house buying, however \u2014 perhaps because much of their accumulated wealth is still tied up in equity.  <\/p>\n<p>Steven Hao\u2019s net worth is around $1.3 billion. The company launched Devin in early 2024, an AI agent capable of planning, coding, debugging, and executing software tasks independently.<\/p>\n<p>The startup\u2019s valuation shot up after funding rounds to almost $10.2 billion and made his net worth around $1.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>There hasn\u2019t been any publicly reported wild purchases by Hao, who lives in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>CEO and co-founder of Perplexity Aravind Srinivas. In August 2022, after working as an AI researcher at companies like Google and OpenAI, he co-founded Perplexity.<\/p>\n<p>Perplexity is an AI-powered \u201canswer engine\u201d designed to replace traditional link-based search engines like Google.\u00a0It hit a $20 billion valuation in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The young tech boss told Fortune that <a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/article\/perplexity-cofounder-ceo-aravind-srinivas-secret-success-embracing-fear-competitor-steal-idea-ai-gen-z\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he dedicates<\/a> almost all of his time to building his company and managing the pressures of the AI industry. He has come under controversy before, saying AI layoffs are fine because people hate their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Srinivas seems to be spending much of his personal wealth helping to cultivate other companies.
