Premier Google Cloud and AI<\/a> specialist Promevo is bullish that Google will come out on top in the AI era due to cheaper AI workload prices, an open AI model strategy and owning the data stack.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see a lot of people who might have been traditionally Azure or AWS<\/a>, moving workloads over to Google specifically because of the AI and data stack,\u201d Promevo CTO John Pettit tells CRN. \u201cThe AI era has made Google a strong winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pettit said businesses can run their AI workloads<\/a> much \u201ccheaper\u201d on Google Cloud infrastructure due to Google\u2019s full stack of hardware and software.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have their own TPUs, so you can translate your more expensive workloads to run more gently on there. So they\u2019re investing not just at the software layer, but the hardware stack. So the whole AI stack<\/a> all the way up: data centers, energy, processors, software technology to support it, to make it more efficient in the algorithms you can run, and then the actual models themselves,\u201d said Pettit.<\/p>\n

Additionally, clients are clamoring for an open AI model portfolio that Google is currently offering via its Model Garden, which provides third-party large language models (LLMs) from Anthropic, Mistral AI and SpaceXAI, as well as Google\u2019s own Gemini, Gemma and Veo models.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen a lot of people very interested in using Google for the flexibility: the open models that they have available; the scalability of the different models; and then just the innovation they\u2019ve done around Gemini, especially Gemini 3,\u201d Pettit said. \u201cThey\u2019ve continued to push the envelope when it comes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the different models that they\u2019ve deployed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Google Cloud\u2019s 82 Percent Sales Growth Outpaces AWS And Microsoft<\/p>\n

Promevo CEO Karthik Kripapuri says the proof is in Google Cloud\u2019s sales, which are being driven by AI. \u201cThey are the fastest-growing hyperscaler,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In the second quarter of 2026, Google Cloud sales increased by 82 percent year over year (YoY) to nearly $25 billion.<\/p>\n

Amazon Web Services year-over-year-sales growth was 37 percent in Q2 2026\u2014less than half of Google Cloud\u2019s growth rate\u2014by generating $42 billion in revenue.<\/p>\n

Google Cloud\u2019s 82 percent growth rate was also much higher than Microsoft\u2019s Intelligent Cloud segment, which reported a 32 percent year-over-year sales growth by capturing around $39 billion in Q2 cloud revenue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we hear from our client is, \u2018Google has the full stack already built. I don\u2019t have to worry about it. The models are already tuned. The hardware is ready. It is purpose-built from top to bottom\u2014from the hardware and chips, all the way to the application of the top, and fully integrated. It\u2019s integrated through every product that we use. And it\u2019s open so we can use different models,\u201d Promevo\u2019s CEO said. \u201cWe see it in Google\u2019s numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n

For example, Promevo just signed a strategic deal with AI-powered healthcare provider IntelliTek Health this month to support the migration, deployment, and advancement of IntelliTek Health\u2019s AI platform on Google Cloud.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur role with IntelliTek Health isn\u2019t just technical migration, it\u2019s making sure their team and clients can operate with total confidence in the Google Cloud infrastructure and experience elite performance and outcomes,\u201d Kripapuri said. \u201cFew industries stand to benefit more from advanced AI capabilities than healthcare.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Google\u2019s Definitely Going To Be The Long-Term Winner\u2019 In AI, CEO Says<\/p>\n

On top of Google\u2019s AI stack and integrations that drive cost savings and optimization, Promevo\u2019s Pettit points to Google\u2019s DeepMind AI<\/a> group as a major differentiator.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the three hyperscalers, they\u2019re really the only ones who have gone this deep into the data stack and AI. Microsoft is kind of like OpenAI and kind of leaning-in through another party,\u201d said Pettit. \u201cThe others don\u2019t have a DeepMind group doing the same stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople may deploy workloads on AWS and build their own models and use it for compute, but I think they\u2019re looking at, \u2018Who\u2019s the best going forward?\u2019 We feel very confident that we\u2019re supporting the right partner. We feel like we\u2019re positioned really well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Kripapuri said Promevo doesn\u2019t get \u201ctoo worked up\u201d about new AI innovation or models coming out in the short term because Google will win in the long run.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we don\u2019t get too worked up about, \u2018Oh, the efficiency in this new model from OpenAI is better than so and so\u2019\u2014we think that\u2019s going to be a race that goes back and forth,\u201d the CEO said. \u201cBut over the long run, for selling the full story to the enterprises\u2014Google\u2019s definitely going to be the long-term the winner in this space.
