OpenAI continues to hire<\/a> top Google talent as the AI superstar unveiled the hiring of Dali Rajic<\/a>, the now former president and COO of security startup Wiz,<\/a> which was acquired by Google for $32 billion this year.<\/p>\n OpenAI said that the market is now ready for new generations of AI models that will change not just how work gets done, but how companies are built and run, which is why it hired 30-year IT veteran Rajic.<\/p>\n \u201cDali will build the revenue operating system needed to scale for this next phase,\u201d said OpenAI<\/a> in a blog post. \u201cDali has deep expertise in running disciplined, metrics-led revenue organizations that scale globally and selling to both large enterprises and technical customers.\u201d<\/p>\n CRN has reached out to Wiz but has not heard back by press time.<\/p>\n [Related: OpenAI\u2019s New AWS Director On \u2018Significant\u2019 Codex, ChatGPT And Bedrock Opportunity For Partners<\/a>]<\/p>\n At Google-owned Wiz<\/a>, Rajic helped build the operating discipline and customer-focused execution behind the fast-growing security company over the past several years.<\/p>\n He is now tasked with leading OpenAI\u2019s global revenue organization.<\/p>\n \u201cOpenAI has extraordinary technology, products that more than 1 billion people already love, and enormous market pull,\u201d said Rajic, OpenAI\u2019s new global CRO, in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m excited to join the team, build on the momentum already in place, and lead the revenue organization as we help customers realize the full value of AI.\u201d<\/p>\n OpenAI Co-Founder Greg Brockman Bullish On New Hire<\/p>\n OpenAI co-founder and President Greg Brockman said he\u2019s bullish about hiring one of Google\u2019s top security leaders as its new revenue chief.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re moving into a compute-powered economy, with AI becoming embedded in every workflow,\u201d said Brockman in a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cThe way we\u2019re deploying this technology is changing rapidly, and Dali will turn what we\u2019ve learned into repeatable execution as we build out the full system to make AI broadly useful for people and businesses,\u201d Brockman said.<\/p>\n OpenAI Hiring Google Cloud Leaders<\/p>\n One CEO of a longtime Google Cloud channel partner said Rajic was a channel advocate inside Wiz.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been thinking about joining the [Wiz Partner Alliance Program] that he helped get off the ground,\u201d said the CEO of the Google Cloud partner, who declined to be identified. \u201cWe saw that he did a lot on the partner side of things. \u2026 I\u2019m surprised so many Google execs are going to [OpenAI]<\/a>. It\u2019s going to be interesting what they become in a year or two.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2026, OpenAI hired Google Cloud\u2019s former global head of partner programs, Colleen Kapase, who was instrumental in launching OpenAI\u2019s inaugural OpenAI Partner Network this year.<\/p>\n In addition, OpenAI hired Google Cloud\u2019s former Partner Network managing director, Philip Larson, who is now tasked with leading OpenAI\u2019s newly launched Partner Network.<\/p>\n
