All jobs data show a sharp rise in demand for artificial intelligence skills<\/a> across finance, human resources, teaching, and other non-tech professions.<\/p>\n

Demand for artificial intelligence skills has surged by as much as 267%<\/a>, including in professions outside the hi-tech sector, according to data presented by ALLJOBS career and recruitment vice president Liat Ben-Torah Shoshan in a Tuesday interview on 103FM.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we sum up the year in the research department, we are seeing very strong increases<\/a>, certainly in the world of AI,\u201d Ben-Torah Shoshan said. \u201cAnd in non-technological fields as well, we are seeing some very interesting jumps.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said the company was reviewing the Hebrew year and comparing the figures with those from the previous year. \u201cIf we take a broader view, we see that unemployment rates are low, and on the website there are more than 34% jobs, so in these areas there is stability,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ben-Torah Shoshan said the data indicated that AI was becoming a significant part of the labor market rather than simply a passing trend.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are identifying changes, and the world of AI is growing significantly. It is not just a buzzword,\u201d she said. \u201cYou can really see the investment both in technological fields and certainly in mid-tech and low-tech, such as finance, human resources, and teaching.\u201d<\/p>\n

AI reshapes employer demands and how job applicants present their skills<\/p>\n

She said the emphasis on artificial intelligence could be seen both in what employers were seeking and in the way applicants were presenting themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see an emphasis on the world of artificial intelligence and related fields, for example in job requirements and in how candidates mention it on their r\u00e9sum\u00e9s,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The scale of some of the increases is particularly large because demand for AI-related skills was relatively low in the comparison periods, Ben-Torah Shoshan explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are seeing astronomical numbers because we are comparing them with periods when demand for AI was low, so we are seeing significant growth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I look more deeply at the data, I can say that we are seeing an increase in accountant and bookkeeping positions, financial manager roles, and in requirements for proficiency in artificial intelligence tools,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

High-tech layoffs push workers to retrain and adapt to changing job demands<\/p>\n

Ben-Torah Shoshan also addressed changes taking place in the hi-tech labor market, where rounds of layoffs have continued for an extended period.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been seeing rounds of layoffs in hi-tech for quite some time, and quite a few of these candidates are required to make professional adjustments, such as undergoing training and learning various tools required for their positions,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The changes are not limited to workers<\/a> acquiring new digital skills. Ben-Torah Shoshan said some professions themselves were changing as technological developments reshaped employers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n
