The U.S. Army has four main pillars when it comes to agentic artificial intelligence (AI): speed, scale,\u00a0innovation\u00a0and integration.\u00a0The branch integrates\u00a0agentic AI\u00a0\u201cpretty well,\u201d and with the help of industry, leaders innovate\u00a0with agentic AI\u00a0every day. However,\u00a0the branch encounters challenges concerning speed and scale\u00a0due to the presence of risk,\u00a0said Lt. Gen. Christopher Eubank, commanding general of the U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), during a\u00a0panel\u00a0at\u00a0TechNet Augusta 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n To\u00a0confront the innate battle between speed,\u00a0scale\u00a0and risk,\u00a0ARCYBER\u00a0leaders\u00a0announced they have\u00a0established\u00a0a new special unit called Task\u00a0Force Lexington.\u00a0Eubank described this group\u00a0as one that\u00a0focuses on\u00a0every\u00a0facet\u00a0of\u00a0AI, from simple staff processes\u00a0to\u00a0agentics\u00a0getting after\u00a0hunting the U.S. Department of War Information Network.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI have a soon-to-be O-6 who leads a band of about 10 high-speed folks inside of\u00a0ARCYBER\u00a0that do all things AI\u00a0for the command,\u00a0so that group is charged with developing\u00a0the\u00a0agent, developing the harnesses and training the agents,\u201d\u00a0Eubank\u00a0said. \u201cEvery agent we create is trained in a work role inside\u00a0of\u00a0the cyber force, so there\u2019s no rogue things going on here.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Eubank\u00a0further explained that Task Force Lexington members have created a plethora of\u00a0different\u00a0work\u00a0roles\u00a0for agentic AI, such as\u00a0developing, data engineering, host analyzing\u00a0and\u00a0exploitation analyzing.\u00a0The special unit is also\u00a0responsible for training the agentic AI to fit its assigned role.\u00a0The training will have the same standards as the training that humans receive in this space,\u00a0Eubank\u00a0ensured.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n During the\u00a0panel, he illustrated what the process looks like. \u201cAgents have a work role,\u00a0their\u00a0job qualification record.\u00a0They get trained,\u201d\u00a0Eubank\u00a0said. \u201cThey get set on a mission with a human watching. They deliver results.
