You,\u201d a user named visionode wrote in  \u201cThe student who used Claude to reorganize a paragraph. The journalist who asked the AI to summarize a two-hundred-page transcript. The writer who had creative block and asked for synonyms. Those guys come out of the process with a digital tattoo on their forehead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anthropic<\/a> disputes that characterization. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/news\/claude-text-watermark\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/news\/claude-text-watermark\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The company said<\/a> the watermark \u201ccarries no identifying information and can\u2019t be traced to a specific person, organization, or chat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new watermark, based on <a href=\"https:\/\/ai.google.dev\/responsible\/docs\/safeguards\/synthid\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/ai.google.dev\/responsible\/docs\/safeguards\/synthid\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google DeepMind\u2019s SynthID-Text technology,<\/a> allows AI-generated text to be identified without a visible label. Instead, it embeds a statistical pattern into ordinary word choices made by the model.
