It was unreliable at scale and hard to govern. Afterward, the results were clear: $75.6 million in benefits against $17.5 million in cost over three years translating to $58.1 million in net present value.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n  The value came from four places:\n<\/p>\n<p>$39.0 million\u2014data and analytics teams\u2019 productivity. Teams handled more work without adding people, with measured gains of 15% to 25%. As a Vice President of data services at a healthcare organization put it: \u201c\u2026we\u2019re doing more work with the same size of the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>$19.9 million\u2014lower infrastructure costs.
