The ChatGPT Work platform is aimed at office workers who need tools for analyzing large volumes of information, preparing reports and presentations, and conducting in-depth research.

Thibault Sottiaux, who leads OpenAI’s key products, including the API, agent infrastructure, enterprise solutions, ChatGPT, and Codex, explained that the company is bringing capabilities previously associated primarily with programming into the everyday workflows of a broader range of people.

We wanted to give everyone the capabilities of coding agents. This is an attempt to take something built for technical people and present it in a way that is safe and enjoyable to use, works on the go – on mobile devices and the web – and becomes available to the widest possible audience.

– Thibault Sottiaux

ChatGPT Work and a New Approach to the Interface

OpenAI does not aim to turn ChatGPT into a service with a large number of complex menus and manual settings. Instead, the company is developing a simple interface in which users can interact with a powerful model without needing to study its technical capabilities in detail.

As an example of this approach, Sottiaux cited ChatGPT Voice. The idea is for conversations with AI to feel natural, with the technology adapting to people’s needs rather than requiring them to adapt to the app’s logic.

According to Sottiaux, the rapid growth of ChatGPT Work shows that users are ready to work with agent-based systems in everyday tasks. He said the service has already reached 20 million users.

We definitely see that the world seems to be ready. That is why we have seen incredible adoption. We managed to launch it in a way that is simple but powerful; simple but without compromise.

– Thibault Sottiaux

AI Agents for Documents, Reports, and Research

Sottiaux described the development of AI-based products as a process of continuous exploration. As new model capabilities emerge, the team identifies the types of tasks they are best suited for and then creates tools based on real user experience.

Among the important steps in this direction, he highlighted GPT 5.6. In his view, the model has become noticeably stronger at handling general professional tasks: it can process large document sets, prepare slides and reports, and conduct in-depth research.

Such functionality should allow agents to take on some of the routine and complex processes that typically consume a great deal of employees’ time. At the same time, OpenAI continues to refine its products based on how people actually use them at work.

Model Pricing and Privacy Protection

Speaking about the cost of using AI, Sottiaux emphasized the gradual decline in model prices. He mentioned an 80% price reduction following the launch of Luna and noted that, over time, users should receive more capabilities for the same subscription price.

Our goal is to include more utility for the same amount of money over time. If you want to do more, of course, you can pay more to do more. But in terms of what is possible today: you wake up six months from now and should be able to do all the same things at a lower cost.

– Thibault Sottiaux

OpenAI also pays particular attention to the security of agents that may gain access to private information, including email and iMessages. Sottiaux emphasized that such scenarios require reliable models, clear risk-assessment mechanisms, and transparent benchmarks.

The company views security as one of the main prerequisites for the widespread use of autonomous AI agents. Trust in these systems will determine how actively they are used for everyday work with personal and corporate data.

The next major AI audience may not be developers at all, as OpenAI reshapes its tools around reports,…

[7
10631,27714,580,73613,66,73614,157,52746,44003
post-150599","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-openai","tag-ai-agents-for-business","tag-ai-research-tools","tag-chatgpt","tag-document-analysis","tag-news","tag-office-automation","tag-openai","tag-openai-chatgpt-work","tag-workplace-productivity
["GET
