<\/p>\nToday, Google\u00a0\u00a0announced the expansion of its AI-powered learning tools across Africa, offering eligible higher education students in\u00a027 countries one year\u00a0of Google AI Plus at no cost. Eligible students can access 12 months of\u00a0Google AI Plus, which includes\u00a0Gemini Omni, two times higher usage limits in Gemini and\u00a0400 GB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos, alongside a growing suite of AI-powered learning tools.<\/p>\n
The offer gives university and college students access to Gemini and other AI-powered learning tools designed to support\u00a0research, coursework, revision\u00a0and\u00a0everyday academic tasks. Students in markets including\u00a0Kenya, Nigeria\u00a0and\u00a0South Africa, alongside 24 other countries\u00a0across the region, can now\u00a0claim the offer,\u00a0subject to eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n

The initiative comes as students across the region navigate different academic calendars, with some preparing for a new academic year while others are already in the middle of their studies. It reflects Google\u2019s continued commitment to helping students access technology that can support learning throughout their academic journey.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0\u00a0expansion follows last year\u2019s Gemini Student offer and will see students who previously claimed the offer renew their access for another 12 months, subject to re-verification.<\/p>\n
