It seems clear that a growing proportion of online searching and shopping will be happening via AI chatbots\u2026 and also, perhaps, music discovery \u2013\u00a0from artists and songs to concerts and ticketing.<\/p>\n
Hence the eagerness of companies including Spotify, Apple Music, Ticketmaster and SeatGeek to launch integrations with OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT as part of its apps directory in the last six months. Now rival Anthropic is getting in on the action with its Claude service.<\/p>\n
Anthropic uses the term \u2018connectors\u2019 rather than \u2018apps\u2019 for its integrations with other services. Yesterday saw it\u00a0add a bunch of new connectors<\/a>\u00a0including Spotify and StubHub.<\/p>\n Spotify users \u2013\u00a0free and premium alike \u2013\u00a0can now connect their account to Claude<\/a>\u00a0for \u201cpersonalised recommendations based on their taste and listening history\u201d. That matches\u00a0Spotify\u2019s partnership with ChatGPT<\/a>, which launched last October.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a mark of the sensitivities around AI \u2013 not least with Anthropic still being sued by music publishers \u2013 that Spotify stressed in its announcement that it \u201cdoes not share any music, podcasts, or other audio or video content from our platform with Anthropic for training\u201d.<\/p>\n Spotify isn\u2019t the first music-streaming service to connect with Claude. South Korean service Melon is\u00a0already on there<\/a>\u00a0with an integration that includes charts, personalised recommendations and the ability to play songs directly in its app.<\/p>\n At the time of writing, Spotify is already the seventh most-popular Claude connector according to\u00a0Anthropic\u2019s public listings<\/a>, with the six above it including travel (Viator, Tripadvisor, Booking\u00b7com), food (Uber Eats, Resy) and hiking (AllTrails).<\/p>\n As for StubHub,\u00a0its Claude connector<\/a>\u00a0is focused on different behaviour from specific event queries on its website or search engines. It\u2019s more about people who don\u2019t have a particular concert, sports or theatre event in mind.<\/p>\n \u201cDescribe what you\u2019re in the mood for and mention StubHub. Claude will then surface real events that match,\u201d is how the company described the conversation flow, while suggesting follow-ups that could narrow down the options by genre, price, day and the location of seats.<\/p>\n Here, too, the Claude integration follows a similar partnership with ChatGPT \u2013 in StubHub\u2019s case\u00a0that launched in December 2025<\/a>.
