The funds will be used to purchase Nvidia chips, which the company plans to lease to Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14px;color: #666\">Based on data from <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/08\/28\/neocloud-lambda-secures-1b-in-debt-to-buy-more-chips\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"outer_link\">Techcrunch<\/a><\/p>\n<p>JPMorgan Chase arranged the deal. The loan\u2019s short term indicates that Lambda expects to quickly deploy the graphics processors, generate revenue from leasing them, and repay the debt with those proceeds.<\/p>\n<p>Lambda expands its artificial intelligence infrastructure<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Lambda has used debt financing to expand its computing infrastructure for the needs of specific customers. In May, the company opened a $1 billion secured credit facility.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Lambda also announced that it had secured a $926 million loan to purchase Nvidia GB300 graphics processors. The equipment will be used in a project the company has committed to deliver for Nvidia.<\/p>\n<p>Preparing for a new investment round<\/p>\n<p>Lambda obtained the new debt financing while negotiating a $3 billion pre-IPO funding round. In November 2025, the company raised $1.5 billion in venture capital, bringing its post-investment valuation to $5.43 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, banks and technology companies have already raised more than $400 billion in debt worldwide related to the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
