{"id":156615,"date":"2026-08-31T14:02:39","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T14:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/156615\/"},"modified":"2026-08-31T14:02:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T14:02:39","slug":"eu-tightens-rules-for-chatgpt-reddit-and-roblox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/156615\/","title":{"rendered":"EU tightens rules for ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox will face stricter EU rules after crossing a key user threshold under the bloc&#8217;s Digital Services Act (DSA), the European Commission said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The three US-based companies have each reported at least 45 million average monthly users in the European Union, triggering additional requirements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">These include obligations to assess and mitigate systemic risks linked to illegal content, the protection of minors, users&#8217; physical and mental well-being, elections and public security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The DSA, which has applied across the EU since February 2024, imposes wide-ranging rules on online platforms and search engines.
