Both companies told Barron\u2019s that their corporate communications teams use AI assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Across large US companies:<\/p>\n<p>Barron\u2019s spotted this phrasing in 208 documents last year, up from 100 in 2024 and 49 in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Companies using the phrase of late include <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/progressive\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/progressive\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Progressive<\/a>, Royal Caribbean, <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/coca-cola\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/coca-cola\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Coca-Cola<\/a>, <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/dollar-tree\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/dollar-tree\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dollar Tree<\/a>, Cisco, <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/accenture\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/accenture\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Accenture<\/a>, Workday, <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/mckinsey\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/mckinsey\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">McKinsey<\/a>, <a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/microsoft\/\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/company\/microsoft\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Microsoft<\/a>, and Schwab.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2026it\u2019s \u201cno smoking gun for AI use,\u201d an AI detection company\u00a0<a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/04\/20\/ai-writing-its-not-just-this-its-that-barrons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/04\/20\/ai-writing-its-not-just-this-its-that-barrons\/\">told<\/a>\u00a0TechCrunch. The phrase may simply be a hallmark of AI writing because it was already such a linguistic clich\u00e9.
