{"id":19229,"date":"2026-04-28T00:43:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T00:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/19229\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T00:43:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T00:43:12","slug":"real-time-marketing-now-reality-with-data-and-agentic-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/19229\/","title":{"rendered":"Real-time marketing now reality with data and agentic AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Consumer packaged goods companies face mounting pressure to grow profitably while operating on razor-thin margins \u2014 and agentic AI is emerging as the tool that can close the gap between fragmented data and real-time marketing outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>The sector has long relied on weeks-long campaign measurement cycles, disconnected consumer data and costly physical test markets to guide brand decisions. <a href=\"https:\/\/siliconangle.com\/2026\/04\/22\/google-delivers-connective-tissue-autonomous-ai-agents-access-data-without-restrictions\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Cloud LLC\u2019s Agentic Data Cloud<\/a>, unveiled at Google Cloud Next 2026, signals a shift toward giving agents the contextual intelligence needed to act on enterprise data without hindrance \u2014 and its effects are already being felt in CPG, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/fife-sonia\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sonia Fife<\/a>\u00a0(pictured, right), global leader of consumer packaged goods, strategic industries, at Google Cloud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the revenue side we\u2019re seeing agents really be able to drive that transformation, looking around corners to understand what trends are coming,\u201d Fife said. \u201cThen marketing is helping to take those trends \u2014 transform them into resonant concepts and campaigns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fife and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jefffollestad\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Follestad<\/a> (left), senior manager of GCP partner sales at EPAM Systems Inc., spoke with theCUBE\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/furrier\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">John Furrier<\/a>\u00a0and co-host\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alison-kosik-cfei-13579215\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alison Kosik<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecube.net\/events\/google\/google-cloud-next-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Cloud Next<\/a>, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media\u2019s livestreaming studio. They discussed how agentic AI is transforming CPG real-time marketing workflows, enabling media optimization and accelerating time to market through synthetic consumer data. (* Disclosure below.)<\/p>\n<p>Agentic AI unlocks real-time marketing loops for CPG brands<\/p>\n<p>One of the most concrete gains from agentic-powered real-time marketing in CPG is the collapse of traditional campaign measurement timelines. Historically, CPG organizations would run a campaign, then wait four to eight weeks to analyze results, adjust media mix and reallocate spend \u2014 a process that allowed markets to shift well before brands could respond, Follestad noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this new world, in literally near real time, that dial or that adjustment of my marketing spend assortment can be [updated],\u201d Follestad said. \u201cIf we see customer sentiment shift [or] there\u2019s some event that triggers more effectiveness on one channel than another, you can optimize that to great efficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Agentic AI is also compressing the cost and time required to validate new product ideas. Rather than organizing physical consumer panels that can take months and significant budget to execute, brands can now deploy synthetic consumer audiences in minutes, Follestad explained. That velocity allows companies to fail fast, redirect resources and prioritize concepts with stronger market signals before committing to production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019ve developed something in a vacuum and you test it quickly, you can retreat from that product and focus on something else, whereas you may have taken six months to get to that point in the past,\u201d Follestad said. \u201cIt\u2019s in an industry very sensitive to margins and running very lean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The frontier for CPG extends further into the transition from the physical shelf to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.google.com\/transform\/the-invisible-shelf-retail-cpg-agentic-commerce-how-to\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">invisible shelf<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 where agentic commerce protocols enable AI agents to discover, evaluate and purchase products on behalf of consumers, according to Fife.
