“Now we have to, in addition to both of those two things, figure out how to build this like mega, mega scale token factory for the world,” he said.<\/p>\n
This new, massive undertaking will require a different skill set.<\/p>\n
“The thing that I didn’t really appreciate between the phase one, phase two shift was how much my management style had to change,” he said. “Running a research lab and running a product company are two extremely different things. And I suspect this third phase is going to be very different yet again.”<\/p>\n
Altman said he’ll ultimately have to change or surround himself with more people \u2014 perhaps, AI could bridge the gap.<\/p>\n
