However, growth rates during a major infrastructure shift offer insight into which company is best positioned for the new era.<\/p>\n<p>Google Cloud&#8217;s 63% growth built on a trend of acceleration: 32% in the second quarter of 2025, 34% in the third quarter, and 48% in the fourth quarter. Microsoft&#8217;s Azure and other cloud services revenue grew 40% in the quarter ended March 31, staying within a 39%\u201340% range for three consecutive quarters. AWS accelerated to 28%, its fastest growth in roughly four years, but still well behind Google Cloud&#8217;s pace.<\/p>\n<p>Profitability at Google Cloud also improved sharply. Operating income climbed to $6.6 billion, up from $2.2 billion a year earlier.
