Customers realise that AI is a technological and once-in-a-lifetime shift, and they want to harness this to innovate in their business platforms,” he noted, adding that agentic AI specifically is gaining momentum in various production use cases.

One example is Zomato’s Nugget platform, which leverages AWS Bedrock. It has processed almost 1 billion messages with 40 per cent productivity improvement, which is a massive gain at scale.

Three factors

He identified three key success factors: selecting the right models amid rapid technological change, building robust data platforms for Generative AI to be useful, and for agentic AI systems to deliver business outcomes. The third factor is investing in continuous skilling since the technology is changing so fast. AWS has trained over 7 million people in India across areas from application modernisation to generative AI.

“Generative AI is such a powerful technology that virtually every type of customer and industry can innovate and benefit from it. Customers, regardless of their size, nature, and industry, are benefiting. They are innovating, and that is leading to the massive adoption of agentic AI and GenAI. The technology is so broad that everyone benefits from it,” Singh noted.

He added, “Agentic AI is a technology shift equivalent to the internet and cloud. We are seeing massive adoption. Customers are incorporating agentic AI into their complex workflows, whether it’s supply chain, manufacturing, customer service, or software development. The capabilities of agentic AI and its potential make me excited about what we can deliver.”

On data sovereignty, he said AWS is “sovereign by design,” enabling customers to decide where their data is stored, like within the Mumbai or Hyderabad region.

Published on May 4, 2026

Satinder Pal Singh, Director, Solution Architecture, AWS India and South Asia Enterprises in India and globally are rapidly…

[6
179,7493,25,322,17922,17921
0":"post-26820","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-agentic-ai","8":"tag-agentic-ai","9":"tag-agentic-artificial-intelligence","10":"tag-artificial-intelligence","11":"tag-aws","12":"tag-data-sovereignity","13":"tag-zomato
["GET
