{"id":26965,"date":"2026-05-04T17:52:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T17:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/26965\/"},"modified":"2026-05-04T17:52:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T17:52:08","slug":"pwc-and-google-zero-in-on-enterprise-ai-value","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/26965\/","title":{"rendered":"PwC and Google zero in on enterprise AI value"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The race to capture tangible AI value \u2013 and to extract a genuine return on investment \u2013 has officially moved from isolated experiments to the core of enterprise operations.<\/p>\n<p>As enterprises turn to agentic solutions to solve business problems, success now hinges on striking a balance between rapid deployment and unwavering trust. That balance is critical because once an organization loses belief in the technology due to poor outcomes, it becomes significantly harder to maintain the cultural momentum necessary for a successful digital transformation, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/michael-thiessen-262173130\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Thiessen<\/a>\u00a0(pictured, left), U.S. chief clients and markets officer at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt comes back to trust and governance,\u201d Thiessen said. \u201cWe\u2019re getting asked, \u2018How do you set up a framework to make sure that you know what people are using [AI] for, that it\u2019s trustworthy and that everybody\u2019s doing what we want them to do?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thiessen and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/rebeccapotts1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rebecca Potts<\/a>\u00a0(right), director of North American strategic industries and partner sales at Google LLC, spoke with theCUBE\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/furrier\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">John Furrier<\/a> and co-host\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alison-kosik-cfei-13579215\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alison Kosik<\/a>\u00a0at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecube.net\/events\/google\/google-cloud-next-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Cloud Next<\/a>, during\u00a0an exclusive interview on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media\u2019s livestreaming studio. They discussed the transition from generic AI to industry-specific agents and how leadership attitude drives AI value.\u00a0(* Disclosure below.)<\/p>\n<p>Deploying Google engineers to accelerate AI value<\/p>\n<p>To overcome the hurdle of skepticism, Google is increasingly utilizing engineers to create \u201cshow me, don\u2019t tell me\u201d scenarios for customers, according to Potts. That effort is now formalized: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwc.com\/us\/en\/about-us\/newsroom\/press-releases\/pwc-google-cloud-ai-center-of-excellence.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PwC recently announced<\/a> a dedicated Google Cloud AI Center of Excellence, structured around specialized technical talent embedded directly into client initiatives to reduce the friction of adopting complex architecture and accelerate time to AI value. These engineers develop specific agents within a week or two, using a company\u2019s own data to prove that the technology works in their unique environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat our customers really want to see is they want to see a use case that works and that will solve a particular industry-focused problem in their business,\u201d she said. \u201cWe leverage forward-deployed engineers to go develop an agent that solves a particular problem that our customer is facing \u2014 to build with their data and with their context \u2014 to show them that the technology works in their environment and to go build that trust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That trust-building approach allows businesses to move faster in the sales cycle and pivot quickly if a particular use case does not meet expectations, Potts noted.\u00a0That\u2019s particularly important as <a href=\"https:\/\/siliconangle.com\/2026\/04\/29\/ai-scaling-challenges-persist-enterprises-googlecloudnext\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">C-suite pressure to demonstrate AI returns<\/a> reaches a fever pitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you\u2019ve done that, beyond the trust element, we\u2019re leveraging these resources to also help with speed in the sales cycle because they are able to produce these agents within, call it a week or two, in many cases,\u201d she said. \u201cThat enables us to all move faster, and know that in today\u2019s market, it is really all about speed and agility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Chief financial officers and chief operating officers are now driving the agenda, focusing on the unit economics and the \u201cmake-versus-buy\u201d decisions associated with large-scale automation.
