Anthropic announced Monday<\/a> the formation of a new enterprise AI services firm with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs, designed to bring Anthropic’s Claude AI into the core operations of midsize businesses.<\/p>\n

The new standalone company will embed Anthropic engineers within its team and work directly with Anthropic’s research and product staff, the company said. Its initial customer base will include portfolio companies of the backing investment firms as well as independent companies.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the investor group are several additional alternative asset managers: Apollo Global Management, General Atlantic, Leonard Green & Partners, GIC, and Sequoia Capital.<\/p>\n

Anthropic CFO Krishna Rao said in a statement: “Enterprise demand for Claude is significantly outpacing any single delivery model. This new firm brings additional operating capability to the ecosystem and capital from leading alternative asset managers.”<\/p>\n

Jon Gray, president and COO of Blackstone, said in a statement that the firm intends to build a company to deploy Anthropic’s technology across businesses in its portfolio and beyond, adding that the venture could help address a “significant bottleneck” in enterprise AI adoption by expanding the number of skilled implementation partners.<\/p>\n

Among the sectors the new firm plans to serve are healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, real estate, and infrastructure. One focus will be keeping AI deployments current as Claude’s capabilities change \u2014 a challenge the firm says requires ongoing coordination between its engineers and Anthropic’s teams.<\/p>\n

Marc Nachmann, global head of asset and wealth management at Goldman Sachs, said in a statement that the new firm would help democratize access to forward-deployed engineers and enable midsize companies to accelerate AI adoption.<\/p>\n

The deal follows a previously reported agreement<\/a> in which the anchor partners \u2014 Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman \u2014 were each expected to contribute about $300 million, with Goldman Sachs committing about $150 million as a founding investor, bringing the total to roughly $1.5 billion. The new firm mirrors a strategy being pursued by OpenAI, which has formed its own enterprise deployment venture backed by TPG, Bain Capital, Advent International, Brookfield, and Goanna Capital.<\/p>\n

Anthropic has been among the frontrunners in enterprise AI adoption. The company’s annualized revenue run rate climbed from about $9 billion at year-end 2025 to more than $30 billion by late March 2026, a rise it has attributed in part to AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
