For guests at a recent wedding, this level of radically transparent data-sharing was the main event. While most couples celebrate their marriage with traditional slide shows or photobooks, one newlywed decided to use his technical expertise to build a stunning, data-driven window into twelve years of romance.

Austin Lau, an employee at Anthropic, decided to celebrate his recent marriage by combining his day job with his personal life. Instead of hiring a traditional designer or spending weeks compiling memories, he turned to the cutting-edge developer tools he works with daily.

Using Claude Code, Lau processed a massive database containing over a decade of iMessage chat history with his wife. He then paired the resulting data with Claude’s design capabilities to instantly generate a beautifully styled, interactive website to entertain and surprise their wedding guests.
12 Years by the Numbers
The website provided an incredibly detailed breakdown of their relationship, transforming a massive digital footprint into a visual story. Over their 12 years together, the couple accumulated:161,015 total messages sent back and forth.
4,340 days of active communication.
8,602 photos shared through their chat history.
28,757 emojis were used to express their feelings.1,795 explicit declarations of love typed out over the years.

The final dashboard revealed that Lau’s wife was the more talkative of the two, accounting for 57% of the total message volume, while Lau himself accounted for the remaining 43%.

— helloitsaustin (@helloitsaustin)
The Hilarious Reality of Moving In TogetherPerhaps the most relatable and amusing insight generated by the AI was a chart tracking their message volume per year. Aptly titled “The Shape of Us,” the graph showed a massive peak in communication during 2016, when the couple was still navigating college life and living apart. During that peak year alone, they exchanged over 32,000 messages. However, the data shows a steep, dramatic decline in message volume starting around 2021. Rather than indicating a rough patch in the relationship, the drop-off pointed to a major milestone: they had moved in together. The website cheekily pointed out that texting habits change drastically when the other person is sitting right across the room from you.Mapping the 9:00 PM Texting Spike
The AI also analysed their daily habits to find exactly when the couple was most active. By mapping out a heat chart of every single hour of every weekday, the analysis identified a massive spike in activity at 9:00 PM, particularly at the start of the workweek.

On a typical Monday at 9:00 PM, the couple averaged about six texts per hour, making it their peak window for catching up, sharing memes, or planning their week. In contrast, the early morning hours between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM remained completely silent, showing a remarkably consistent sleep schedule over more than a decade.

Internet reactsUsers reacted with excitement and curiosity. One person called it a really sweet and creative idea. Another said it was genuinely impressive and asked how the messages were collected, wondering whether it was done through Apple, an iMessage plugin, or some other method. Someone else appreciated the technical side and asked if a default frontend tool was used or something custom-built. Another user said they needed something similar and asked if there were prompts or an open-source version available.
Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source

Imagine exchanging over a hundred thousand messages with your partner before finally walking down the aisle, only to…

[8
19113,53,3154,182,2798,19114,19115
0":"post-29158","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-anthropic","8":"tag-ai-analysis","9":"tag-anthropic","10":"tag-anthropic-claude","11":"tag-claude","12":"tag-claude-code","13":"tag-data-driven-story","14":"tag-personal-data-usage
["GET
