The company also introduced new Microsoft 365 integrations and expanded its partner ecosystem with additional data connectors and an MCP app for financial workflows.

The new agent templates are built for high-volume financial workflows such as creating pitchbooks, screening KYC files, reviewing valuations, maintaining financial models, and handling month-end close operations. Anthropic said the templates are available as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, as well as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents, enabling firms to deploy AI-powered workflows more quickly.

Anthropic explained that each agent template combines three core elements: domain-specific skills and instructions, governed connectors to financial data sources, and specialized subagents that handle targeted tasks such as comparables analysis or methodology checks.

The company introduced five templates focused on research and client coverage:

Pitch Builder
Meeting Preparer
Earnings Reviewer
Model Builder
Market Researcher

And five templates focused on finance and operations:

Valuation Reviewer
General Ledger Reconciler
Month-End Closer
Statement Auditor
KYC Screener

Anthropic also expanded Claude’s integration with Microsoft 365 applications, enabling Claude to work directly across Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. The integrations allow users to carry context between applications automatically, reducing the need to re-enter instructions while moving between workflows.

Within Excel, Claude can build and maintain financial models, audit formulas, and conduct sensitivity analyses. In PowerPoint, it can generate presentations linked to underlying financial data. In Word, it can edit documents such as credit memos using firm-specific templates. Outlook support, which is coming soon, will enable inbox triage, meeting scheduling, and email drafting capabilities.

Anthropic also highlighted Dispatch within Claude Cowork, which allows users to assign tasks to Claude through text or voice commands while the AI continues working on local files in the background.

The company said it is continuing to expand its financial data ecosystem through integrations with providers such as FactSet, S&P Global Capital IQ, MSCI, PitchBook, Morningstar, LSEG, and additional providers including Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, and Verisk.

In addition, Moody’s launched a new MCP app that gives Claude access to proprietary credit ratings and data covering more than 600 million public and private companies.

Anthropic noted that the updates are designed to work alongside Claude Opus 4.7, which the company said leads the Vals AI Finance Agent benchmark with a score of 64.37%.

The company also shared customer commentary from firms including Citadel, FIS, BNY, Carlyle, Mizuho Financial Group, Travelers, Walleye Capital, Hg, and Dun & Bradstreet regarding the use of Claude across investment research, compliance, underwriting, engineering, and operational workflows.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our investment professionals live in data and analytical models, and Claude for Excel meets them there.
