An X user reportedly tricked AI chatbot Grok into sending them around $200,000 worth of cryptocurrency simply by using Morse code.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dexerto.com\/entertainment\/x-user-tricks-grok-into-sending-them-200000-in-crypto-using-morse-code-3361036\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dexerto<\/a>, the X user manipulated <a href=\"https:\/\/brobible.com\/tag\/grok\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"695786676\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grok<\/a> and another <a href=\"https:\/\/brobible.com\/tag\/artificial-intelligence\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"3213556\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AI<\/a> system with wallet access, Bankrbot, into making the <a href=\"https:\/\/brobible.com\/culture\/article\/215-million-email-hacking-scheme-1000-victims\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">crypto<\/a> transaction.<\/p>\n<p>The X user, \u201c@ilhamrafli.base.eth,\u201d sent a hidden Morse code instruction that circumvented security measures and initiated the transfer of 3 billion DRB tokens, which at the time were worth about $200,000. This increased the AI\u2019s permissions within the Bankr system, enabling it to carry out previously prohibited tasks, such as swaps and transfers.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the hacker asked Grok to translate a Morse code message and send it directly to Bankrbot on X. Grok is already wired into Bankrbot to follow instructions in plain language.
