SAP Sapphire<\/a>,\u00a0Anthropic and SAP will collaborate to embed Claude\u2019s agentic capabilities into the newly announced SAP Business AI Platform\u00a0to advance SAP\u2019s vision of the Autonomous Enterprise in the agentic AI era. <\/p>\nThe collaboration builds on SAP\u2019s\u00a0more than 50-years of\u00a0business application\u00a0know-how\u00a0across processes, data, and\u00a0governance.\u00a0This complements SAP\u2019s open ecosystem approach to supporting\u00a0any model\u00a0and\u00a0provides greater customer choice\u00a0and flexibility\u00a0to meet\u00a0evolving AI requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Connecting directly to SAP\u00a0Business AI Platform, Claude will\u00a0empower agents to carry\u00a0\u200bout tasks\u2014from closing the books at quarter-end and answering complex employee leave questions to rerouting supplier orders mid-shipment\u2014coordinating across\u00a0SAP\u00a0S\/4HANA, SAP\u00a0SuccessFactors\u00a0and SAP\u00a0Ariba\u00a0solutions, and other systems via MCP.<\/p>\n

Better reasoning\u00a0on\u00a0complex business tasks:\u00a0Claude will empower agents to take real action\u00a0for hundreds of thousands of SAP customers, across finance,\u00a0\u200b\u200bHR, procurement,\u00a0and supply chain. Agents\u00a0leveraging\u00a0Claude connect to SAP\u00a0Business AI Platform\u00a0to understand business context grounded in SAP data, make\u00a0\u200b\u200bmore\u00a0accurate\u00a0decisions, and\u00a0operate\u00a0safely within defined processes. For example,\u00a0a Treasury Manager\u00a0can ask Joule\u00a0to prepare a CFO briefing\u00a0for a bank meeting, and within minutes\u00a0receive a completed\u00a0presentation\u00a0populated with live data\u00a0and\u00a0analysis\u00a0as well as flagged\u00a0financial\u00a0risks. Work that previously took\u00a0hours of manual effort now takes\u00a0minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Agentic AI that understands business context:\u00a0Claude works with business context from across SAP\u2019s enterprise systems and other tools connected through MCP. It\u00a0takes action\u00a0step by step: looking up data, making updates, triggering approvals, moving a task forward.\u00a0Anthropic and SAP will\u00a0work\u00a0strategically\u00a0to build custom agents and agentic workflows in SAP\u2014optimizing for\u00a0key industries such as\u00a0public\u00a0sector, healthcare, education, life sciences and utilities.
