While India supplies nearly one-fifth of the world\u2019s medicines and has the largest number of US FDA-approved manufacturing facilities outside the United States, many companies continue to manage commercial workflows through disconnected systems, manual processes, and limited real-time visibility. SwishX is positioning itself within this gap, where digitisation of operational infrastructure is increasingly being viewed as a priority. BW Healthcare World got in touch with Dushyant Sapre, Founder &amp; CEO of SwishX, to understand the product vision, challenges it solves, and expansion plans in detail.<br \/>Here are the excerpts:<\/p>\n<p>Q1. What are some of the key challenges that pharmaceutical and medtech companies face today in their day-to-day operations?<br \/>Pharma and medtech have become genuinely world-class in manufacturing and R&amp;D but commercially, most companies are still operating blind. The downstream side of the business &#8211; how products reach hospitals, doctors, distributors, and patients &#8211; runs on spreadsheets, disconnected software, and manual workflows.<\/p>\n<p>The result is that companies cannot answer basic business questions in real time: which of the 3,000 public sector tenders they see every quarter do they actually have a shot at winning? Which hospital rate contracts are leaking 25per cent or more in revenue? Is their marketing to doctors generating any measurable outcome? These are not edge cases &#8211; they are the everyday reality across the industry. And in a sector that represents a USD400 billion opportunity across emerging markets alone, growing to USD770 billion by 2033, the cost of operating this way is enormous.<\/p>\n<p>Q2. Many companies still rely on manual work and disconnected systems. How does this impact their efficiency and overall performance?<br \/>When your field reps run on one system, distributors order on WhatsApp, hospital rate contracts live in Excel, and marketing campaigns run through email chains &#8211; you do not have a business system. You have a patchwork that gives leadership the illusion of control without real commercial intelligence.Revenue leakage in institutional supply chains typically runs 15\u201325per cent. Field reps forget 90per cent of product training within a week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Generating a basic MIS pack takes days because data sits across five different systems. India alone has over 1.2 million pharmacies compared to roughly 100,000 in the US. 30\u201360per cent of procurement happens through government tenders and rate contracts, where generic competition is significantly more intense. Brand teams can convert long marketing PDFs into cinematic, on-brand video reels for doctors, create interactive visual aids, and distribute them across WhatsApp, email, and SMS to precisely segmented audiences from our database of 8,00,000+ verified doctors. Everything runs through a built-in MLR approval workflow &#8211; reducing production and approval timelines from weeks to a single day.<br \/>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Contract IQ digitises hospital rate contracts from negotiation to signed PDF, with real-time leakage detection, renewal alerts, and margin erosion monitoring.<br \/>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Channel IQ provides real-time visibility into distributor and stockist ordering, AI-driven demand sensing, and scheme compliance tracking with incentive leakage detection.<br \/>The CXO Command Center ties it all together &#8211; leadership asks questions in natural language and gets instant, cited insights across sales, marketing, compliance, and channel data.<\/p>\n<p>Q4. India is a large and complex market for pharma and medtech. What are some unique challenges here, and how is your platform designed to address them?<br \/>India is the pharmacy of the world &#8211; supplying 20per cent of global medicines, exporting to over 200 countries, and home to the highest number of US FDA-approved plants outside America. But the commercial infrastructure behind this manufacturing powerhouse has not kept pace.<br \/>The distribution network is massively fragmented &#8211; over 10,000 pharma companies, 1.2 million pharmacies, hundreds of thousands of stockists, and a procurement apparatus spanning GeM, state corporations, and thousands of hospital tenders. Then layer in UCPMP guidelines for HCP engagement, Section 194R requiring TDS on channel partner benefits, and Schedule M for manufacturing compliance &#8211; and you have a regulatory environment where non-compliance carries serious consequences, yet most companies manage it through periodic audits that catch issues months too late.<\/p>\n<p>SwishX is purpose-built for this complexity. UCPMP and 194R compliance is embedded into every workflow. Our AI content tools support 10 Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hinglish &#8211; because effective doctor engagement in Tier 2 and Tier 3 India demands vernacular communication. We have built one of the most comprehensive healthcare databases in India &#8211; covering over 800,000 licensed doctors, 120,000 pharmacies, 86,000 hospitals, and 36,500 stockists.<br \/>While we started with India, the platform is designed for emerging market complexity broadly. We are already serving global subsidiaries of Indian pharma companies across 25 export markets, and are expanding into Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Q5. What is your long-term vision for SwishX as the use of AI continues to grow in the healthcare sector?<br \/>Our immediate mission is to be the commercial operating system for life sciences &#8211; the Agentic AI layer through which pharma and medtech companies sell, market, and distribute across markets. Industry estimates suggest AI could unlock $60\u2013110 billion in annual value in this sector, and we believe the biggest transformation ahead is not going to happen in the lab &#8211; it is going to happen in how these companies go to market.<br \/>Today, our four products &#8211; Tender IQ, Marketing IQ, Contract IQ, and Channel IQ &#8211; solve the most immediate and measurable pain points. But over the long term, we are building towards a vertically integrated AI system for the entire life sciences value chain &#8211; from faster generic and biosimilar drug discovery, through drug development, to autonomous multi-market commercial execution.<br \/>The companies that will lead in the next decade are not those that bolt AI onto existing processes &#8211; they are the ones that fundamentally rewire their commercial operations around autonomous AI agents that learn, decide, and execute.
