Just <a href=\"https:\/\/x.ai\/cli\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"(Opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"nofollow\">download<\/a> it from the xAI website and log in.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s described as \u201ca powerful new coding agent and CLI [command line interface] for professional software engineering and complex coding work.\u201d In its early version, xAI is seeking feedback and looking to fix any bugs.<\/p>\n<p>AI coding agents, though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/research-ai-may-help-you-code-but-it-wont-help-you-master-the-skills\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">unlikely to replace<\/a> human coders in their current form, are expected to act as collaborative tools for developers. Anthropic\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/explainers\/curious-about-claude-try-these-8-beginner-friendly-tasks-first\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Claude<\/a> and OpenAI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/articles\/i-vibe-coded-global-mass-surveillance-site-in-2-hours-with-openai-terrifying\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Codex<\/a> have taken early leads in the segment, and Musk has publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-03-13\/musk-pledges-to-rebuild-xai-as-another-co-founder-departs\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"(Opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">stated<\/a> that his company has lagged behind.<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"text-gray-600\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2055008501722943750\" title=\"(Opens in a new tab)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><br \/>\n        This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.<br \/>\n    <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grok Build arrives a couple of months after Musk began restructuring xAI following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/elon-musks-xai-is-having-trouble-holding-on-to-cofounders\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cofounder exodus<\/a>. The company later signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/spacex-to-let-cursor-train-its-ai-on-xai-supercomputer-teases-60b-acquisition\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">deal with Cursor<\/a> that will allow it to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/xais-data-center-may-have-acted-illegally-as-epa-clarifies-turbine-loophole\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">xAI&#8217;s Colossus supercomputer<\/a>, with an option to acquire it for $60 billion. &#8220;XAI was not built right first time around, so is being rebuilt from the foundations up,\u201d Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2032201568335044978?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"(Opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"nofollow\">tweeted<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>        Recommended by Our Editors<\/p>\n<p>The startup didn&#8217;t reveal much about Grok Build in its announcement.
