Michael Nicolls, who serves as xAI&#8217;s president and also holds a role at Starlink, has directed staff to match Claude&#8217;s performance across various tasks, describing it as a near-term objective.<\/p>\n<p>Musk, the world&#8217;s wealthiest individual, is restructuring his AI company ahead of an expected initial public offering by parent company <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/5400251\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">SpaceX<\/a> later this year, which is anticipated to be the largest in history. That restructuring has involved layoffs, costly new partnership agreements, and a wave of hiring to replace xAI&#8217;s founding members, all of whom have departed.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, xAI entered a partnership with the AI firm Cursor, focusing on coding and computing resources. Engineers from Cursor have been collaborating with xAI in recent weeks, according to individuals familiar with the matter.
