The briefing was requested by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexbox.io\/store\/united-kingdom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bank of England Governor<\/a> Andrew Bailey, who chairs the FSB, an international body that coordinates financial regulations for G20 economies.<\/p>\n<p>The company will present findings from its latest AI model, Mythos, to senior officials from leading finance ministries and central banks within the FSB. Anthropic announced Mythos last month, describing it as a cybersecurity model designed to identify vulnerabilities that have persisted for decades in web browsers, infrastructure, and software. The model has not yet been released to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Cybersecurity specialists have cautioned that the system could enable more sophisticated cyberattacks, particularly threatening the banking sector, which depends on aging legacy technology. In April, Governor Bailey voiced concerns that Mythos could introduce significant security risks to the cyber landscape. Speaking at a Columbia University event in New York last month, Bailey noted that the model might be able to detect exploitable weaknesses in other systems for cyberattack purposes, calling it a potential challenge to global cyber stability.<\/p>\n<p>Reuters could not independently confirm the report.
