Global digital business and IT services company NTT DATA has agreed to acquire WinWire,\u00a0a Microsoft partner that specializes in Agentic AI, AI on Azure, data engineering, and cloud-native development for harnessing enterprise AI. The acquisition bolsters NTT DATA\u2019s position to support organizations as they begin to implement and scale AI-powered operations, the company said.<\/p>\n

By boosting capabilities across data platforms, agentic AI, and modern applications, NTT DATA said it is \u201csharpening its ability to deliver production-ready AI solutions aligned to industry needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Part of Tokyo-based NTT Group, NTT DATA has its North American headquarters in Plano.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe acquisition of WinWire is a decisive step in advancing our enterprise AI strategy and expanding our leadership in Microsoft Azure and AI-powered cloud transformation,\u201d said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and chief AI officer at NTT DATA.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy combining WinWire\u2019s deep expertise in cloud-native development and agentic AI with NTT DATA\u2019s global scale,\u201d Dubey added in a statement, \u201cthis positions us to lead the shift to enterprise AI, enabling clients to move from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment and achieve meaningful business outcomes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shaping \u2018the next wave of AI-driven transformation\u2019<\/p>\n

Headquartered in Santa Clara, California,\u00a0with global delivery centers in India,\u00a0WinWire is a six\u2011time Microsoft Partner of the Year Award winner and finalist, supporting enterprises in establishing AI\u2011ready digital foundations and scaling intelligent, cloud\u2011based solutions that provide measurable business outcomes, NTT DATA said.<\/p>\n

Upon the deal\u2019s close, WinWire will add more than 1,000 skilled Azure engineers and Microsoft specialists to NTT DATA, contributing extensive experience in Microsoft environments, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry. NTT Data said that the expanded talent base would strengthen its global Microsoft practice and speed the delivery of next\u2011gen AI and cloud solutions.<\/p>\n

As enterprises increasingly seek AI platforms that support enterprise-wide transformation, industry analysts<\/a> estimate the global AI market will grow from $390 billion to nearly $3.5 trillion over the next decade, indicating a widespread adoption of AI across enterprises.<\/p>\n

By combining NTT DATA\u2019s full-stack capabilities, industry expertise, and managed services with WinWire\u2019s specialized strengths in modern applications, data engineering, and agentic AI, the company said it is uniquely equipped to help clients develop and scale AI solutions and gain value from AI throughout the enterprise.<\/p>\n

Building on Microsoft partnership<\/p>\n

The agreement builds on NTT DATA\u2019s long-standing partnership with Microsoft, combining its global scale with WinWire\u2019s expertise in Azure-based AI and data transformation.<\/p>\n

WinWire is also a member of the Microsoft Agentic Partner Alliance Program, further strengthening joint innovation and execution for industry-specific AI solutions.<\/p>\n

WinWire will enhance NTT DATA\u2019s Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud, established to meet rising demand for secure, AI-driven enterprise transformation, NTT DATA said. The business unit, which operates in more than 50 countries, includes Microsoft Cloud, security, and AI and is supported by more than 24,000 Microsoft certifications.<\/p>\n

The combined capabilities also boost NTT DATA\u2019s ability to co-innovate and co-sell with Microsoft, building on its achievement as Microsoft\u2019s 2025 Global System Integrator Growth Champion partner of the year, the company added.<\/p>\n
