{"id":52405,"date":"2026-05-27T08:12:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T08:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/52405\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T08:12:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T08:12:09","slug":"agi-greenpac-appoints-new-chief-operating-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/52405\/","title":{"rendered":"AGI Greenpac appoints new Chief Operating Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/agigreenpac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AGI Greenpac<\/a><br \/>\nhas appointed a new Chief Operating Officer for its aluminium cans business. <\/p>\n<p>The India-based glass packaging manufacturer has named Mr Dushyant Kumar as the new COO.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kumar has over three decades of extensive experience in the metal packaging and beverage cans industry, including leadership roles at Canpack India.<\/p>\n<p>Along with an engineering background, he has built and managed businesses across operations, supply chain, and commercial strategy, as well as significant exposure to global markets.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kumar said: \u201cI am excited to join AGI Greenpac at a transformative phase in its growth journey. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company has established a strong reputation and leadership position in glass packaging, and its entry into aluminium cans reflects a forward-looking vision aligned with evolving market and sustainability trends. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to working closely with the team to build a high-quality, customer-centric organisation that drives innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth in the aluminium cans segment.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the appointment, Mr Rajesh Khosla, CEO of AGI Greenpac, said: \u201cWe are pleased to welcome a leader whose strong operational expertise aligns with our culture of disciplined execution. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we expand into the aluminium cans segment, we are entering a category that is seeing strong momentum globally and in India, driven by changing consumer preferences and increasing demand for sustainable packaging solutions. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAluminium is one of the most sustainable materials in the world, infinitely recyclable without any loss of quality, and we believe this is the right time for us to build a strong presence in this space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kumar\u2019s appointment comes as AGI Greenpac further develops its aluminium cans venture.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the company formally commenced the construction of its Greenfield aluminium beverage cans manufacturing facility in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>With a proposed investment of approximately \u20b91,000 crore ($104.6 million), the facility will launch with two production lines capable of producing 1.6 billion cans annually.<\/p>\n<p>Future expansion should have the potential to exceed 2 billion cans per year. <\/p>\n<p>The plant is expected to become operational by 2028 and will cater to the rapidly growing demand from India\u2019s beverage industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"AGI Greenpac has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer for its aluminium cans business.
