Anthropic has appointed Siddiq Zaman as head of partnerships for India as the AI company expands its enterprise and ecosystem presence in the country.<\/p>\n

Zaman shared the development in a LinkedIn post<\/a>, where he said he would focus on helping build and grow Anthropic\u2019s partner ecosystem in India.<\/p>\n

The appointment comes as AI companies deepen engagement with global system integrators, cloud providers, enterprise software vendors and implementation partners to operationalise AI deployments across enterprise environments.<\/p>\n

The move also comes months after Anthropic formally opened<\/a> its Bengaluru office as part of its India expansion strategy. At the time, the company said India had become Claude\u2019s second-largest market globally, with growing enterprise adoption across software development, legacy modernisation and operational AI deployments.<\/p>\n

Zaman brings over a decade of enterprise partnerships and alliances experience across cloud, enterprise software and platform ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Before joining Anthropic, he spent over six years at ServiceNow, most recently serving as Senior Director – Global Partnerships and Channels.<\/p>\n

Before that, he worked at Amazon Web Services as Business Head – Global System Integrators, where he managed relationships across large enterprise transformation and partner ecosystems.<\/p>\n

He has also held partnerships and alliances leadership roles at Salesforce and HPE.<\/p>\n

Enterprise AI ecosystem expands in India<\/p>\n

The appointment reflects the growing importance of India in enterprise AI adoption and implementation strategies.<\/p>\n

Anthropic has been expanding its enterprise AI presence in India across software development, legacy modernisation and operational AI deployments. Earlier this year, the company said India had become Claude\u2019s second-largest market globally, with growing usage across enterprise engineering, application development and production-scale AI environments.<\/p>\n

AI companies are increasingly building local ecosystem relationships around consulting, deployment, governance, workflow integration and enterprise AI operationalisation as organisations move from experimentation toward production-scale AI environments.<\/p>\n

The role of system integrators and enterprise partners is also expanding as enterprises look to integrate AI models into business workflows, operational systems and customer-facing applications.<\/p>\n

Zaman\u2019s background across enterprise alliances, hyperscaler ecosystems and global system integrator engagement is expected to support Anthropic\u2019s enterprise expansion strategy in India.<\/p>\n

In his post, Zaman described Anthropic as a company doing \u201csome of the most important and fascinating work in AI today\u201d and said the opportunity to help grow the company\u2019s India partner ecosystem was something he was \u201cincredibly energised about.\u201d<\/p>\n

The appointment also reflects a transition where AI companies are increasingly building enterprise-focused partner organisations rather than operating only as model or API providers.<\/p>\n
