We will see you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/05\/28\/claude-lemieux-dies-at-60-remembering-his-unlikely-comeback-with-the-sharks-at-age-43\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Remembering Claude Lemieux\u2019s unlikely comeback with the Sharks at age 43<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Brendan, also a former NHL player, included an image in his post featuring him, his father, and his son, Luc, who was born in March 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Lemieux\u2019s daughter, Claudia also shared her grief on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo words to express <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/claudialemieuxbishop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the level of devastation<\/a> we feel,\u201d she wrote via Instagram Stories on Thursday. \u201cI love you forever daddy. Over the course his 21-season career, he won four Stanley Cup championships with three different franchises, including two with the New Jersey Devils. He was found dead by his adult son in the warehouse of his family\u2019s furniture store around 3:00 a.m. Thursday, after his loved ones grew concerned when he did not return home the night before.<\/p>\n<p>The Palm Beach County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed to The Athletic that deputies responded early Thursday morning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7315087\/2026\/05\/28\/claude-lemieux-dead-obituary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">to a suicide attempt<\/a> at \u00a0Andros Home showroom, the Lemieux\u2019s family-run business. The NHL has also since confirmed his death.<\/p>\n<p>Lemieux was 60 years old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NHL Alumni Association is devastated to share that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY5FXmmDo_p\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Claude Lemieux has passed away<\/a> at the age of 60,\u201d the league wrote on X. \u201cHe was loved by his wife and four children, and on behalf of the Lemieux family, we kindly ask that everyone respect their privacy during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"New Jersey Devils right wing Claude Lemieux holds the Conn Smythe Trophy after his team defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals to win the championship Saturday night, June 24, 1995 at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.
