\u201cThe View\u201d host Sunny Hostin is a proud ChatGPT user, particularly when it comes to communication in her marriage. And on Thursday morning, Kara Swisher made fun of her for it.<\/p>\n
As part of the day\u2019s Hot Topics, the ABC hosts discussed the recent influx in celebrities \u2014 namely celebrity women \u2014 encouraging the use of AI, like Demi Moore<\/a>, Reese Witherspoon<\/a> and more. Hostin joked that she has a \u201cPhD in ChatGPT at this point,\u201d and noted that she regularly uses the program as her therapist, as well as her marital counselor.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease don\u2019t do that,\u201d Swisher, who is filling in for Joy Behar this week, immediately cut in.<\/p>\n Hostin further explained that she uses ChatGPT so that her emails and text messages to her husband \u201care nicer,\u201d prompting Swisher to double down.<\/p>\n \u201cDo you not have a friend we could do that with?\u201d she retorted.<\/p>\n That said, Swisher was quick to admit that she defended Witherspoon\u2019s comments about the need for women especially to learn AI basics. But, she added that the conversation about AI needs to also address the dangers of it.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can be right, at the same time as not talk about the safety issues,\u201d she said. \u201cSo you look like a creature of these incredibly wealthy people. And so, what the real problem is, and when you\u2019re saying that, you should also say there\u2019s all these safeguard issues.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey didn\u2019t mention that,\u201d Swisher added. \u201cThey didn\u2019t mention the data centers, and the damage. The climate damage, and the effective money by all these billionaires, who get in the room with Trump. He\u2019s got an advisory council, by the way.
