{"id":6274,"date":"2026-04-15T23:15:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T23:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/6274\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T23:15:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T23:15:00","slug":"jeremy-renner-invests-in-ai-public-safety-company-after-tahoe-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/6274\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeremy Renner invests in AI public safety company after Tahoe accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Though it has been three years since Jeremy Renner\u2019s near-fatal Tahoe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/entertainment\/article\/jeremy-renner-usf-snowplow-20823225.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">snowplow accident<\/a>, the Marvel actor\u2019s latest endeavor proves that the experience still remains top of mind.<\/p>\n<p>The Modesto native announced on Wednesday, April 15, a partnership with New York-based artificial intelligence company RapidSOS, which aims to utilize the technology to share crucial information to 911 and first responder systems in emergency situations. Renner has also invested in the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There\u2019s 150 people that are responsible for me not dying,\u201d Renner told Fortune. \u201cI\u2019ll always be in debt to them and so thankful for my life. And that\u2019s why I\u2019m a part of this company, because I think it\u2019ll help them do their job more efficiently, better, and that just trickles down into the person that they\u2019re serving in an emergency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Renner\u2019s partnership with RapidSOS also includes the short documentary \u201cBehind the Emergency,\u201d which follows the actor as he learns about modern emergency response technology. It\u2019s set to premiere on April 29.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2012, RapidSOS uses data from smartphones, wearable devices, 25 million cars, 450,000 buildings and millions of cameras to alert federal, state and local agencies of emergencies, Fortune reports. As of last year, it has supported response operations in more than 1.1 billion emergencies across 16 countries, according to the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;First responders do extraordinary work every day,&#8221; Michael Martin, founder and CEO of RapidSOS, said in a statement. &#8220;But for too long we&#8217;ve asked them to rush into millions of emergencies with almost no information. In partnership with public safety, we are building the first AI platform developed for mission critical response operations \u2014 providing an immediate full picture of any emergency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Renner had his own firsthand experience with emergency response teams following his snowplow accident, which left him with 38 broken bones, a collapsed lung and a pierced liver.
