Google has now stopped manufacturing its two Nest-branded smart speakers, the 2nd-gen Nest Mini and the Nest Audio. The two devices are no longer available to purchase from the Google Store, though you may still find them at other retailers.<\/p>\n

The two speakers were released more than five years ago, and they\u2019re finally being replaced by the new Gemini-powered Google Home Speaker<\/a>, which will start shipping on June 25. Google\u2019s new smart speaker is priced at $99.99, just like the Nest Audio it\u2019s replacing, but it\u2019s noticeably smaller and also offers 360\u00b0 sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we continue to build the future of the smart home, we are refining our portfolio of Google Home and Nest devices. As part of this evolution, we have ended production of the Google Nest Mini and Google Nest Audio,\u201d a Google spokesperson told Tech Advisor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even though the Google Nest Audio and Nest Mini are no longer manufactured, the two smart speakers will continue to receive software updates. They\u2019re also being upgraded to the new Gemini for Home experience<\/a>, which will replace the existing Google Assistant.<\/p>\n
