The circumstances of the crash aren\u2019t clear, but two fatalities were confirmed, one being Guillemot, and another being a flight instructor.<\/p>\n<p>Per reports, identification was delayed due to the nature of the crash, with the plane being ablaze when emergency services reached the crash site.<\/p>\n<p>Claude Guillemot Tragically Killed in Plane Crash<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ouest-france.fr\/societe\/faits-divers\/crash\/un-des-freres-cofondateurs-de-la-societe-de-jeux-videos-ubisoft-decede-dans-le-crash-de-lavion-hier-a-la-baule-9b60653c-6c76-11f1-971c-5aa54f866c16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ouest-France<\/a>, a French publication, first reported the news regarding Guillemot\u2019s tragic plane crash, which occurred on Friday, June 19.<\/p>\n<p>It was explained that Guillemot was the owner of the plane that crashed, and that he was on board with a flight instructor, who also passed in the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Claude was one of five brothers who co-founded Ubisoft in 1986. He started the company alongside Christian, G\u00e9rard, Michel, and Yves Guillemot.<\/p>\n<p>In company documentation, Ubisoft described Claude\u2019s role:<\/p>\n<p>He sits on Ubisoft\u2019s Board and is Executive Vice-President in charge of operations. He provides entrepreneurial spirit to the Ubisoft Board, as well as his international experience of Asia, where he lived, and his in-depth knowledge of gaming technologies for PCs, consoles and accessories.<\/p>\n<p>Claude Guillemot was 69 years old at the time of this tragic incident.
