{"id":81648,"date":"2026-06-22T11:47:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T11:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/81648\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T11:47:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T11:47:08","slug":"east-texas-musicians-say-songs-should-not-be-created-entirely-with-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/81648\/","title":{"rendered":"East Texas musicians say songs should not be created entirely with AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">TYLER, Texas (KLTV) &#8211; Artificial intelligence is everywhere, from search tools, to banking, and now it\u2019s in music. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Whether AI is used to remove lyrics, or create a song entirely from a simple prompt, the technology has drawn praise and pushback. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Max Dannenberg, Jacob Dannenberg, and Adam Thorton &#8211; who make up the band Lenny and the D &#8211; said their group does not use AI in their songs. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI think [AI] is a gimmick,\u201d said Max Dannenberg. \u201cBeing able to tell a story, something that comes from a human element, is what music\u2019s all about.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">LaDarius Daniels said he uses artificial intelligence to take lyrics out of music and to master a song. On Sunday, he was playing the saxophone at Texas Music City in Tyler as part of \u2018Make Music Day,\u2019 which is a nationwide event with artists performing across America. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAI helps us, but it shouldn\u2019t just take over 100%. It should be there to help us with creativity, not just be the full creativity,\u201d Daniels said. \u201cIf used correctly, it can be a game changer in the music industry.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jared Chapman, who has been playing instruments for more than 20 years, said for him there is no better feeling than seeing an audience clap for an original creation, but has concerns AI will take that away. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIf I were to use AI, I feel like I\u2019d just be like an imposter&#8230; to where I\u2019m just pretending,\u201d Chapman said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI hear the cost of how much water is used,\u201d added Chapman, \u201cI\u2019m like, it\u2019s not worth it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A common sentiment among the musicians is that AI can be useful, but there\u2019s nothing quite like an authentic performance. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThat authenticity of a song writer, making their songs and just like, I would like an audience to connect with that more than just something where you just type it into a prompt,\u201d Chapman said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI don\u2019t think a bubble is popping,\u201d said Max Thorton. \u201cI think AI is kind of like in the World\u2019s Fair days right now where the toy part of it is being pushed around\u2026 but then it\u2019s just going to fall down to smaller applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KLTV.
