According to a new section in the updated privacy policy, published in early June and set to take effect on July 8, Anthropic states that the age or identity verification requirement may be applied \u201cin certain circumstances,\u201d without providing specific examples.<\/p>\n
Although the company previously required users to be of legal age, this year age verification was introduced to account for the requirements of certain states and countries. It was also announced identity checks, but they appeared in the privacy policy only recently.<\/p>\n
