{"id":83971,"date":"2026-06-24T03:24:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T03:24:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/83971\/"},"modified":"2026-06-24T03:24:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T03:24:18","slug":"anthropics-mythos-model-found-vulnerabilities-in-classified-us-government-systems-ap-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/83971\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthropic&#8217;s Mythos model found vulnerabilities in classified US government systems, AP reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">June 23 (Reuters) &#8211; Anthropic&#8217;s Mythos model identified vulnerabilities in highly sensitive U.S. government computer systems during a testing exercise, \u200cthe Associated Press reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anthropic teamed up with \u200cWashington&#8217;s intelligence agencies to conduct tests using Mythos under Project Glasswing, the AP \u200bsaid, referring to a restricted program designed to find and fix vulnerabilities in critical software before attackers could exploit them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Senator Mark Warner of Virginia referred to the testing in a congressional hearing this \u200cmonth, saying he \u2060had been informed by National Security Agency chief Joshua Rudd that Mythos &#8220;broke into almost all of our \u2060classified systems, not in weeks, but in hours.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Citing an unidentified U.S. official, the AP said that although Mythos identified certain vulnerabilities within \u200bhours, that \u200bdid not mean the model \u200bwas able to exploit them \u200cwithin that time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The White House, Anthropic and the Department of Defense did not immediately respond to Reuters&#8217; requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">IPO-bound Anthropic&#8217;s relationship with the U.S. government has been rocky.
