Eddie<\/a> admitted that he recently turned to ChatGPT for parenting advice when his 12-year-old son had a meltdown and declared that he wanted to quit all sports. He felt stuck and didn’t know how to respond, so he typed a detailed description of the situation into ChatGPT and asked how to talk to his son about it. The AI provided a script and several talking points. Rather than reading the script word-for-word, Eddie used the suggestions as guidance. He said the advice included acknowledging his son’s feelings and pointed out that many professional athletes have gone through similar moments of frustration. Bobby thought it was a great move because AI can offer perspectives that people may not think of on their own. Eddie said the conversation with his son went well and helped him move through the situation. Bobby admitted that he has also used ChatGPT to ask questions about caring for his infant daughter, especially when he needs a quick reminder about something his wife has already explained. While Eddie never expected to rely on AI for parenting advice, he said it saved him time and gave really good ideas. <\/p>\n

Amy<\/a> shared that her son recently went to the mall with friends and purchased a small bottle of cologne from a kiosk. According to Amy, the salespeople convinced him he was getting a major discount on an expensive product. She didn’t initially know he had purchased the cologne, but began noticing a strong smell around the house. After repeatedly encountering the scent on furniture, clothing and throughout the home, she finally figured out it was the new cologne. Amy asked her son to bring the bottle downstairs and immediately recognized it as the source of the smell. She said it as one of the worst-smelling colognes she had ever smelled. Although her son liked the fragrance, Amy told him she couldn’t allow him to keep wearing it because the smell was giving her headaches. She also used the experience as a lesson about being cautious when buying products from aggressive salespeople and not assuming every advertised deal is legitimate. One of her son’s friends had also purchased the same cologne, so they both fell for the sale tactic. <\/p>\n

Bobby<\/a> then shared a parenting lesson he has learned since becoming a father.
