The U.S. government has allowed Anthropic to release for trusted partners one of the most powerful models \u2013 Claude Mythos 5. The decision is documented in a letter from the U.S. Department of Commerce and opens Mythos 5 to broad access for a wide range of partners after previous restrictions aimed at preventing misuse of the technology.<\/p>\n
According to sources, more than 100 companies and institutions will gain access to Mythos 5, including many Fortune 500 firms. Details are not publicly disclosed due to the sensitive nature of the regulatory decision.<\/p>\n
Anthropic and the White House did not comment on this step. Previously, Anthropic halted access to its most powerful models \u2013 Mythos 5 and Fable 5 \u2013 for all users under export-control regulations.<\/p>\n

With regard to Anthropic\u2019s relationship with U.S. authorities, the situation has remained tense this year: the company declined to allow the use of its models by the U.S. Army for domestic surveillance and for fully autonomous weapons systems, after which the government placed it on the national security list.<\/p>\n
